Once you have signed up with your chosen your host, you should have received
ftp details. The important bits are; FTP address, Username and Password. With
this information you can log onto your web server and upload your web page(s).

Direct FTP is a very good FTP program. Download the trial, which is free.
Once the software is installed enter the FTP information and upload your files.
Once
you have uploaded all your files, you should test your page on the web server
and make certain that it functions properly and that all files have uploaded correctly.
It is also a good idea to test your page using a different computer to ensure
that graphic files are being read from the server and not from your hard drive.
It
is now time to congratulate yourself. You have published your very first page!
