Wow, what a nice way to create an eye popping resume!

I personally like to think of a resume as a product brochure. The candidate being the product and the brochure (resume) talks about the qualities, features, advantages and befits of the product (candidate). And graphics would definitely make a lot of impact. After all what is a brochure without any graphics? So in that respect even if you are not a graphic designer, if you can incorporate some images in the resume, it will make the resume stand out from all the dull and monotonous ones that the recruiter would be seeing.

And just as a marketing company will continuously keep updating and fine tuning the brochure, the candidate should continuously fine tune the resume. It does not really matter whether you are looking for a job or not – your marketing collateral must be always ready and up dated – you never know when you may need to face competition.
